Insurance and the Mental Health Consumer

I learned some 26+years ago that the insurance companies told  you how long you could be confirmed ill and when the "ill" days were used up, out into the "well" world you were dumped. When I finally got on medicare it helped quite abit but of course those days were limited and for me long gone. So I have hospital bills, lots and lots of them. Since my only income is Social Security they can't take my money as long as I can prove it is just from Soc. Sec.. BUT... they can call me, and call me and they can call me. The collection agencies can merciless. Because medicare is okaying less and less for pysch patients more and more pyschiatricts won't take us or if they do it for a very few minutes for a med check and therapist tend to be putting medicare patients in groups instead of individual therapy because of the minimal money that is available for us.

I tend to have more hopeless days when I start to believe since I am on medicare I am labeled as a undesirable to the medical world as well as everybody else.
